I've been in the position a number of times where someone wants to know a estimate of an item(s) on the spot and have it sent to them over text message or e-mail.

I always get into the jam of typing out the calculations in iPhones Calculator app and then having to repeat the digits over and over to myself until I get back to my home screen then initiate my Mail app, create a new message and then scurry down to the body of the message to regurgitate the numbers.

Phew! I remembered. This time....

So here is a nice easy tip due in part to iPhones OS 3.0 !

Tap and hold your finger on the Calculator's result area, select Copy. Now you are able to Paste the numbers in the application of your choice! Wow that simple?
